AC Milan’s start to the 2026/2027 season has become increasingly difficult to assess.
The Rossoneri have gone three consecutive matches without a victory, with their latest setback coming against Benfica at San Siro. After draws against Juventus and Lazio, Milan suffered a 0-2 defeat in front of their home supporters.
The result has naturally raised questions about the team’s performances under Ruben Amorim. However, midfielder Ardon Jashari has made it clear that he still believes in the project being built at AC Milan.

The result extended Milan’s winless run and increased the attention surrounding their performances under Amorim.
Ardon Jashari Still Believes in Ruben Amorim’s Project
Despite the disappointing results, Jashari has not lost faith in the direction of the club.
The Milan midfielder believes the players must continue to trust the project while simultaneously improving their performances.
For Jashari, believing in the project does not mean accepting performances that fall below the required standard.
Instead, he believes confidence in the manager and the club’s plans must be accompanied by greater intensity on the pitch.
“We have to believe in this project. Performances like this are simply not enough. We have to play aggressively. If we play intelligently, if we have the spirit from the beginning,” Jashari said.
His comments underline the need for Milan to show a stronger response during matches.
The Swiss midfielder sees greater aggression and fighting spirit as important elements if the team wants to make progress under Amorim.
Milan Players Must Take Responsibility
One of the strongest points from Jashari was his view that Milan’s struggles cannot simply be attributed to the manager.

“If we make mistakes and allow the opponents to take advantage, it is not because of this project. We have to do better,” Jashari said.
